Friendly competition???
What happened to the days of friendly competition? What happened to always try and achieve your best? I miss the days when everyone could compete against one another, do their best and remain friends afterwards. It wasn't a case of who the winner and who the loser is. Nowadays all that happens is people seem to get pissed when they lose. So what, deal with it!!! We all lose someday, the important thing to remember is you can always improve and try again. Why give up? If this is the way you do things, why bother entering at all?
There seems to be this notion that if you are not "The Best" then you're the worst. Well I say to hell with that. What these same people tend to forget is that as a result of their actions and childish outlook others suffer as a result. Personally I don't think it is fair and no 'one' person should be allowed to decide the fate of others. I decide my fate myself thank you very much.
We are a family orientated club and yes, alot of people might not like the way we do things, but nothing we ever do is meant to hurt anyone. That is why we are such a success and will continue to be a success. We keep everyone's best interests at heart. We always try and support like minded people as the more of us there are, the bigger and greater shows, events and competition can be.
Anyone and I do mean anyone is welcome to attend our events, after all, we like healthy competition as it makes us strive to do our best. There will never be any hard feelings, resentment or discrimination against any individual or club as long as their intentions are sincere.
I hate the fact that all this politics and bullshit is destroying all sports and competitions. I remember when I just started out in SPL. There were so many people willing to lend a hand and help out or advise. Now that I am climbing in numbers it has stopped. I don't care what my number is at the end of the day, the important thing to me is to improve on myself. Exactly the same in the speed side. When you lose races everyone is your friend, but as soon as you start winning you become a threat.
So, I would like to say the following... If you have the same passion as us, please come and join us and lets help this industry grow in all respects. If you consider us a threat, deal with it as the threat will keep on getting larger and larger. We set the bar high for ourselves and while others may attempt to copy us, what they don't realise is we have already gone a step ahead again.
At the end of the day people, all I ask is be considerate of others and lets have a 'jol'. We look forward to seeing you all and hopefully competing against or with you. Until then take care

Well. now i can add my 2c aswell. Like any other sport or hobby we do it because we have a pasion for it, you don"t always win and don"t always lose. be realistic it is part of life and we just have to deal with it. Good numbers and times with a trophy is a great feeling but hey it doesn't always work like that. It is what you make of it. If you are passionate about what you do, you will have fun. which is the main aim here. The sport of sound in any aspect needs to grow and the only way of succeeding in this is for the people out there to enjoy it. if they don't enjoy they will not come ( Which we have seen out there ). no matter what soound you have or what car you drive FUN FUN FUN we will have.
We have a family here and any body that joins will soon enough find out what i am talking about. I am not always able to compete but does that keep me away NO I love the game and i have made great friends.
We will always get the negative people out there the best is to ignore them and carry on building Demon Racing. i was once told by a wise man it does not matter how many members we have as long as they are all passionate then we are a success. Well i think we have it and it will always remain like that. STAY SAFE AND ENJOY.

bud you took the words right out out of my mouth from when i first spoke to you about starting my own crew then i saw what you had is exactley what i wanted in a crew. im prowd to be a demon racing member and i intend on keeping it that way and pushing my numbers for the sake of friendly competition and making new friends and learning alot from what i can see the best in the buisness. thank you for the crew and everyone involved cause it is an honered to have the demon racing logo`s on my car to make the name bigger

Agreed…fair competition is always good and should be taken as that..if there were no competition then we would have lived in a dreary world….overheard a comment…”I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THE BOKKE AGAIN…THEY PLAY LIKE SHIT!”… so what were you doing at the game this weekend?..like it, hate it, share it….all the same, you will always have individuals that must be better than others but that is part of our lives.
Someone has to come second or lose…so what!, it’s not about the trophy or fame for the few seconds that you run a sub 10 quarter mile or hit that elusive 150dB’s..it’s about being able to take part and enjoy the fellowship of friends, meet new friends and grow the industry that is riddled with politics, bad vibes, groupies, clicks, individuals, loners, losers and just plain “killers of fun”.
There will always be someone faster and louder out there and the trick is to not want to be better but to try and improve to be able to provide competition to those that are faster and louder than yourself. World records are set in athletics and millions of athletes compete world wide in the same events, ex. 100m sprint….now I see athletes train week in and week out to improve their times and sure I read about the illegal use of performance enhancing supplements but I have not yet seen a dedicated sprint athlete give up because they came last in their race!, they practice to become better and compete again.
Likewise with our club, it’s there to enjoy and not a platform to attack others…our creed is specific and clear”, ALL ARE WELCOME” and we mean just that. If it’s pleasure and fun you seek attend, if it’s an argument or fault finding mission, “STAY AT HOME”.
We do what we do because it’s fun, our families are involved and we see our friends, so let it be just that. The sun shines on all people and not a select few individuals. Keep at what you know and do your best and all things will fall into place.
